FAQs

When is the best time for a newborn session?

  • The ideal window is within the first 6 to 14 days of birth, as newborns are typically sleepier and more flexible, making them easier to pose.

  • It's best to book the session during your second trimester to ensure availability.

  • What if my baby is older than two weeks?

    • It is still possible to capture beautiful photos, but older babies may be more alert and less sleepy, so some poses may not be achievable.

  • How long does a session last?

    • Sessions often last 2 to 3 hours to allow for feeding, changing, and soothing the baby.

Preparing for the session

  • How should I prepare my baby?

    • Feed and change your baby as close to the session time as possible or when I arrive to your home.

    • Keep the house at a comfortable temperature. It is recommended turning up the heat or turning off the air conditioning.

  • What should we wear?

    • Neutral-colored outfit, avoiding busy patterns or bright colors like red and orange colors.

    • Keep outfits simple, as big bows can hide a baby's features.

During the session

  • What happens if my baby is fussy or won't sleep?

    • Don't worry. I use soothing techniques and white noise machine to calm a fussy baby and take breaks as needed. I will work at the baby's pace.

  • What should I bring to the session?

    • You may want to bring a special blanket or one outfit for your baby. However props will be provided.

  • Are siblings included?

    • I do have packages available for siblings and significant others.
